Every resident has a full service induction and an excluded licence agreement. Together we build a bespoke progression plan an equal agreement between you and us and meet regularly to work through it.

Our homes

Warm, clean, properly furnished

Every resident gets their own furnished room — bed, wardrobe, drawers and a chair of their own.

At Commlyncx CIC we provide more than accommodation — we provide safety, confidence and the opportunity to build a better future. Where we work

Supported housing across South Derbyshire

We provide supported accommodation and intensive housing management for adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent and the surrounding South Derbyshire area, and can accept referrals from anywhere, with no requirement for individuals to have a local connection to the area.

Who can refer to Commlyncx CIC?

Anyone aged over 18 can refer. You can refer yourself directly using the housing enquiry form on this page, or a support worker, local authority housing officer, probation officer, family member or friend can refer on your behalf with your consent. You do not need a local connection to the area to refer to us.

Do I need a local connection?

No. We can accept referrals from people who do not have a local connection, as well as those who do. Wherever you are currently, you are welcome to make an enquiry.

What areas do you cover?

We provide supported accommodation across South Derbyshire, including Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent and the surrounding villages. We accept referrals from across Derbyshire and Staffordshire, and from people who do not have a local connection to the area.

How long can I stay?

Last year the average length of stay was 7 months. Where it's needed, people can stay longer than two years it depends on your circumstances and needs. The length of stay is shaped by the support required to move on safely to independent living.

Do I have to pay rent?

Yes, rent and a service charge apply. Most residents are eligible for Housing Benefit, and we will support you to make a claim and keep it in place as part of your housing management package.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

Your enquiry goes straight to our support team at support@commlyncx.co.uk. We aim to respond as soon as possible and will arrange an in-depth assessment to check the accommodation is suitable and appropriate for you.

In case of an emergency

We do have an emergency on-call facility for residents only, and will respond to emergencies only outside of normal working hours. This facility is available 24/7, 365 days a year, and we will notify residents weekly of who to call in the event of an emergency.
